I have a Fuji FinePix S9500( 10 megapixels ) Manual or Auto mode and large video clip. It user friendly /light weight and the best thing is…..it make you look like a pro.

Stay away from the Sony Cyber-Shot cameras. All the people I know including myself experience a lot of problems with it. Go for SLR cameras.

well megapixels is a big factor anything above 6.0 and cannon are good cameras. i have a kodak, sounds like it would bt bad but its pretty dam good.

Depends on how much cash u want to spend. If u want a small silver pocket digital I have a Konica 4.2 megapixil (about $250) which is fantastic.

If you are taking classed the teacher most likely would know. Also most of the ones people buy for their snap shots would not be very good for professional work. SLR digital cameras with over 12 mega pixels is the lower end of pro stuff. they are not cheap and the extra lenses are costly as well. As an armature then there are some good cameras under five hundred bucks. Just to have fun then a hundred would buy a cheap one. there may be some good used ones around as well.

Morey’s remarks are spot on. Ken’s tip to ask the teacher is also good. (If you saw anything about a dark room in the syllabus, you can forget about digital all together.)

Buy the one with the most useful features and the most expensive one that you can afford. That way you won’t regret it after 2 months or so when better models are released cos you have already invested in a good one.

see, quality depends on megapixels
and canon is a good company but you buy according to your budget.
go to a store and tell the mant o give tyou a photographic camera.
photographic cameras have polaroid lenses and are costly.
it may cost you till 40,000-50,000 rs.
