I am trying to determine on a digital camera that would be good for close range, candid shots. Any suggestions, opinons, or sites would be appreciated.

By “close range”, do you mean macro photography (subject as close as 5cm from the lens? Or do you mean a telephoto lens that reaches out and brings the subject up close and personal?
