I’m looking for a good digital camera. Some main things I am looking for are optical zoom, high resolution, simplicity, and quality. I don’t want a big, bulky camera. I prefer something reasonably small that can fit into my pocket. Any ideas?
*How do you like your digital camera? Why?

I was the same way. I wanted something small. I picked the Canon Powershot SD1000 Elph. Here’s why…
I went to Besy Buy and literally tried every camera they had. This one was compact so I liked it. Canon invented digital technology so they are a few steps ahead of everyone. The stability mode is incredible. You can take a picture an any setting and it will turn out great. It has digital/optical zoom. I was sitting about 500 yards from homeplate at my last Astros game and a got a shot of the pitcher so close you can see his face. It’s got every feature you could ever use and they are known for their longevity. Ask any photographer who uses digital and most will tell you they have a Canon Rebel. Canon knows what they are doing when it comes to cameras.
Your best best is really to go to your favorite tech store and ask to take pictures with all the cameras until you find one that fits your needs.
I just found one that had nice size… looked at reviews online and figured out the pros and cons
there is an excellent site for reviews… check the link below
i got mine at a mall in atlanta georgia, it helped to speak direclty to a rep.
The first thing I would do is find one that I like in terms of appearance, size, and usefulness (how easy is it to use?) I think that’s most important, especially if you’re anything like me and like to be ready for a photo-op at all times, and therefore carry your camera in your pocket or purse. Once you’ve narrowed it down to a few cameras in terms of size/style, start narrowing down your choices in terms of optical zoom and resolution. Eventually you’ll end up having to choose between 2 or 3 cameras, at which point you can pick the one that has the best quality. Most digital cameras are very similar, and quite good, so you don’t require some fancy camera for regular everyday pictures.
I have a Sony. I love it. It was so great that my parents bought a Sony too. I had an HP before, but I wasn’t too impressed.
Hope this helps!
Well I have not found the perfect camera. I bought a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H2 because of it’s zoom.It will give out an excellent 8X10 print. I like it’s manual controls that gives me say so of aperture I want to use and shutter speed. It’s 6 megapixels and 12X optical zoom. Maybe it’s too big for you. Bought it last Nov.
3 weeks ago bought a much smaller camera for enlargements. I fit it in my shirt pocket. Fujifilm FinePix E900.
Still learning about it. Also has manual controls in addition to auto.
Maybe for me there is no perfect camera unless I spring for a digital SLR. Hope I didn’t confuse you. Check out Website dpreview.com or Steve’s digicam’s.
this is how
I really believe buying a camera is an individual choice.
The person needs to read alot of reviews on cameras and learn as much as they can from the internet.
Go to the store and hold them and try them to see what they feel like and how they take pictures.
I can only give a suggestion of what to look for in a new digital camera.
Good Luck
my suggestion
go to yahoo shopping

digital camera GUIDE
be sure to check titles on the left side
the guide should answer your questions
I did a little research on the web as to what features were the most important for me to use. Then I went to yahoo shopping to compare various dig cameras in the price range I chose to see who had the best and most features for what I was willing to pay. I’m exceedingly happy with my final choice.
I googled it..
